Customer Service Scheduling Operator
About the job:
The Customer Service Scheduling Operator supports patient access by answering inbound calls,
documenting scheduling requests, and helping streamline appointment scheduling during a
high-volume recovery period.
We’re looking for someone who:
● Has at least 2 years of call center experience in a healthcare setting
● Is bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
● Types at least 50 words per minute with strong accuracy and minimal data entry errors
● Has a basic understanding of medical clinic operations
● Delivers outstanding customer service with patience, professionalism, and compassion
● Communicates clearly and maintains confidentiality in all patient interactions
● Demonstrates strong organizational skills and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
● Is comfortable working independently while following established workflows
● Can start within one week (preferred)
What you’ll do:
● Answer inbound patient calls in a professional and compassionate manner
● Verify patient information and accurately document scheduling requests
● Enter notes and messages into the electronic health record (EHR)
● Route scheduling requests to the appropriate scheduling teams
● Communicate expected follow-up timeframes to patients
● Escalate urgent clinical or scheduling concerns according to established procedures
● Support service recovery efforts by helping reduce appointment scheduling backlogs
● Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all internal processes
● Provide a positive experience for patients during high call volume periods
