Subrogation Recovery Specialist (UIM Collections)
About the job:
The Subrogation Recovery Specialist is responsible for investigating, negotiating, and recovering
funds related to underinsured or uninsured motorist claims while maintaining compliance and
professionalism.
We’re looking for someone who:
● Has 2–5 years of experience in insurance subrogation, debt collection, or claims adjusting
● Brings strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
● Is comfortable handling high-volume outbound calls
● Can remain calm, professional, and empathetic during difficult conversations
● Has experience with skip-tracing tools and Microsoft Office
● Understands comparative negligence laws and insurance policy limits
● Works in a detail-oriented, results-driven manner
What you’ll do:
● Review and investigate new subrogation cases to determine recovery potential
● Analyze police reports, witness statements, and accident-related documentation
● Use investigative and skip-tracing tools to locate at-fault parties and assess ability to pay
● Contact at-fault drivers or their legal representatives to negotiate settlements or payment
plans
● Recommend cases for litigation or license suspension when voluntary repayment is not
secured
● Ensure all collection activities comply with FDCPA and applicable state regulations
● Manage multiple cases while meeting recovery and performance targets
