SSD Triage Engineer

About the job:

The SSD Triage Engineer will support the validation of enterprise NVMe Solid State Drives by planning, executing, debugging, and triaging functional tests to ensure high-quality product performance.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience with SSD storage protocols, with expertise in at least one front-end storage protocol such as NVMe/PCIe, SAS, or USB (NVMe preferred)
• Is proficient in test scripting, with Python experience preferred
• Has experience testing SSDs or HDDs
• Has strong failure triage experience and can identify whether issues originate from SSD firmware, test scripts, or test environments
• Communicates effectively and collaborates well across cross-functional engineering teams
• Demonstrates strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Is able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment

What you’ll do:

• Plan, execute, and debug functional tests for enterprise NVMe Solid State Drives
• Develop and execute test scripts to validate SSD functionality
• Analyze test failures and perform detailed failure triage
• Determine whether failures are related to SSD firmware, test scripts, or test setup
• Collaborate with the test development, test execution, and SSD firmware teams to resolve issues
• Track, document, and communicate test results and identified defects
• Support continuous improvements to test processes, automation, and overall product quality
