Senior CMM Programmer
About the job:
The Senior CMM Programmer develops and executes CMM inspection programs, performs advanced dimensional inspections, and supports quality assurance efforts to ensure compliance with
engineering and regulatory standards.
We’re looking for someone who:
● Holds a high school diploma or equivalent
● Has a minimum of 5 years of related inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
● Has hands-on experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS or similar software
● Demonstrates strong knowledge of GD&T and the ability to interpret complex engineering
drawings and 3D models
● Has experience working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools
● Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
● Has experience working within Quality Management System (QMS) environments
● Is able to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
● Is flexible and willing to train in other work areas as needed
What you’ll do:
● Create and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS for complex three-dimensional parts
● Collaborate with programmers, machinists, and engineering teams to support
manufacturing process development
● Prove out new programs with Quality Control Inspectors to ensure reliable and repeatable
processes
● Create and update detailed work instructions including text, sketches, and photographs
● Troubleshoot, revise, and improve existing CMM programs for efficiency and accuracy
● Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and prepare detailed inspection documentation
● Inspect complex machined and molded tools, fixtures, and parts using advanced
inspection equipment
● Assist engineering with validation activities for prototypes and pre-production builds
● Set up, load, and operate programmable CMM equipment
● Participate in design reviews to ensure inspectability, reliability, and compliance with
specifications
● Assist with internal QMS audits and present hardware and documentation for customer or
government source inspections
● Maintain calibration processes and accurate timekeeping records
● Adhere to safety standards, 5S practices, and company quality procedures
