Post Award Grants Analyst
About the job:
The Post Award Grants Analyst supports the financial administration of sponsored grants and
contracts by ensuring compliance, monitoring budgets, preparing financial reports, and providing
post-award guidance throughout the grant lifecycle.
We’re looking for someone who:
● Holds an associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
(bachelor’s degree preferred)
● Has 2+ years of professional accounting or grant administration experience
● Has experience with grants, contracts, or sponsored programs (preferred)
● Is familiar with federal and state grant regulations (preferred)
● Has experience using financial systems such as PeopleSoft or similar ERP platforms
(preferred)
● Is proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
● Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
● Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Is able to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Pays close attention to detail and maintains accurate financial records
● Works collaboratively while managing responsibilities independently
● Is committed to continuous learning and delivering exceptional customer service
What you’ll do:
● Support the post-award administration of grants and contracts from award setup through
closeout
● Participate in grant setup meetings and assist with establishing awards in the financial
system
● Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, and financial activity to ensure compliance with
funding requirements
● Prepare financial reports, invoices, budget adjustments, and reconciliations
● Review award documents and ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines and reporting
requirements
● Monitor payroll and project expenses for allowability and budget accuracy
● Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions
● Respond to requests for financial reports and data from internal and external stakeholders
● Provide guidance and training to program staff on grant administration policies and
procedures
● Support internal and external grant audits
● Serve as backup support for other accounting and grants functions as needed
