Forklift Operator

About the job:

The Forklift Operator will safely move, classify, and track materials while supporting daily operations, basic equipment maintenance, and an organized work environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience safely operating a forklift and other material-handling equipment
• Demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and can troubleshoot minor equipment issues
• Pays close attention to detail and accurately records material and equipment information
• Can apply training to identify and classify incoming materials and assets
• Has strong problem-solving skills and can address routine issues efficiently
• Communicates clearly and works effectively as part of a team
• Understands and consistently follows workplace safety procedures
• Is comfortable learning new processes and participating in training and continuous improvement initiatives
• Has the physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work on their feet for extended periods

What you’ll do:

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment
• Move materials and pallets safely throughout designated work areas
• Scan incoming materials and assets using established procedures
• Identify and classify incoming items based on provided training and guidelines
• Accurately record material classifications and asset information
• Assist with basic equipment and machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication
• Maintain equipment maintenance logs and document machine data or malfunctions
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
• Follow all established safety procedures and protocols
• Communicate equipment, material, or operational issues to supervisors
• Collaborate with team members to support daily production and operational goals
• Participate in required training and continuous improvement activities
