Warehouse Manager

About the job:

The Warehouse Manager will lead a small forklift team while staying hands-on with daily warehouse operations, material flow, organization, and vendor needs.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has solid hands-on warehouse experience, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials
• Has experience supervising or leading a small warehouse team
• Is forklift certified and comfortable regularly operating a forklift
• Is willing to jump in and load or unload materials alongside the team when needed
• Can keep a busy warehouse organized as inventory, materials, and priorities continually change
• Uses good judgment and common sense to solve day-to-day warehouse challenges
• Has strong people skills and can communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and leadership
• Can identify, classify, and properly route incoming materials
• Is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment

What you’ll do:

• Supervise and support a crew of approximately 4–6 forklift drivers
• Stay actively involved in daily warehouse operations alongside the team
• Coordinate the safe loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing materials
• Operate a forklift and assist with loading and unloading as needed
• Identify and define incoming materials to ensure they are handled and routed appropriately
• Organize warehouse materials and adjust layouts as inventory and operational needs change
• Coordinate material needs and pickups with vendors receiving recycled materials
• Monitor workflow and assign daily priorities to the warehouse team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Communicate operational needs, material issues, and priorities with the appropriate teams
• Help resolve day-to-day warehouse challenges quickly and practically
