QA/QC Inspector
About the job:
The QA/QC Inspector performs in-process and final inspections of printed circuit boards and
assemblies to ensure products meet quality standards, customer specifications, and industry
requirements.
We’re looking for someone who:
● Has a high school diploma or GED
● Brings 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in a PCB, electronics, or manufacturing
environment
● Has experience performing First Article Inspections and/or final quality audits
● Is familiar with IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 standards
● Holds IPC-A-610 certification (preferred)
● Has strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
● Can read and interpret technical drawings and assembly documentation
● Is comfortable using microscopes, calipers, and other inspection tools
● Has basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
What you’ll do:
● Perform in-process and final inspections of PCBs and assemblies per work instructions and
IPC standards
● Inspect solder joints, trace integrity, component placement, and cleanliness
● Use magnification tools, microscopes, and AOI systems to assess product quality
● Document inspection results and communicate nonconformances to appropriate teams
● Verify use of correct materials, drawings, and revision-controlled documentation
● Support First Article Inspections and record results as required
● Assist with incoming inspection of raw materials and components
● Follow safety and ESD handling procedures
● Escalate quality concerns and support root cause analysis efforts
