Process Engineer

About the job:

The Process Engineer will develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes, quality standards, and quality control systems
• Has experience monitoring, analyzing, and improving process and quality performance metrics
• Understands material, process, and product inspection and testing methods
• Can interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and manufacturing processes
• Has experience implementing process controls and driving manufacturing improvements
• Has strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Can develop and implement corrective actions and process improvement initiatives
• Understands safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment
• Communicates effectively with operations, engineering, quality, customers, and other cross-functional teams
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
• Holds an ASQ certification (preferred)
• Has experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), root cause analysis, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
• Demonstrates strong project management and communication skills (preferred)

What you’ll do:

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency
• Identify and implement improvements that reduce costs and minimize waste
• Develop process optimization strategies that improve cycle times, yield, and product quality
• Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Establish and maintain process controls, including SPC methodologies, to reduce variation and improve consistency
• Lead or participate in root cause investigations and corrective and preventive action initiatives
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and product issues and implement effective solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new processes, technologies, equipment, and products into production
• Support new product introductions and ensure manufacturing processes are ready for production
• Train and guide production personnel on processes, equipment, and work instructions
• Partner with internal teams and customers on process and quality-related matters
• Support customer communications regarding quality, process performance, and continuous improvement
• Coordinate and support the VI quoting process, including preparing or facilitating quotes
• Oversee VI development parts as they move through the facility to ensure timely completion
