About the job:
The Engineering Manager leads the engineering and quality functions at the site, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and internal performance goals.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Has 3+ years of experience in anodizing or plating (preferred)
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of quality systems and engineering practices
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
- Brings leadership experience in supervising technical staff
- Is familiar with Six Sigma/DMAIC methodologies
- Has strong organizational and analytical skills
- Understands CA labor laws around breaks and meal periods
What you’ll do:
- Maintain site ISO 9001 certification and manage all audit activities
- Act as the point of contact for customer quality and technical issues
- Oversee corrective actions, MRBs, CARs, and customer complaints
- Develop and implement procedures for engineering and quality teams
- Review customer-supplied drawings and resolve discrepancies
- Manage vendor processing instructions and ensure compliance
- Monitor and improve traceability, inspection, and documentation systems
- Define inspection standards using statistical analysis
- Prepare performance reports and present findings to stakeholders
- Lead staff development, training, and performance management
