About the job:
The Rack Cable Operator I supports server rack assembly by integrating components, installing cables, and packaging finished racks. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and quality
- Has good manual dexterity and is comfortable using small hand tools
- Can regularly lift, push, or move up to 50 pounds
- Is able to stand for extended periods and work on ladders
- Communicates effectively and can follow verbal and written instructions
- Works well in a team-oriented production environment
What you’ll do:
- Open and unpack chassis and components for server assembly
- Integrate computer parts into chassis on a progressive assembly line
- Use small hand tools to install screws, brackets, labels, and other components
- Assemble handles, install switches, and apply product labels
- Identify and label cables according to rack specifications using cable labeling equipment
- Package completed racks for shipment
- Assist with recycling and material handling as needed
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
