Quality Control Inspector I

About the job:
The Quality Control Inspector performs receiving, in-process, and final inspections while
supporting various quality system activities
We’re looking for someone who:
● Has 1–3 years of industry experience (Level 1), 3–7 years (Level 2), 7–10 years (Level 3), or 10+
years with leadership experience (Senior)
● Brings medical device experience and strong working knowledge of QSR requirements
● Has experience in cleanroom environments and/or in-process manufacturing inspections
● Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
● Works well in a team with strong written and verbal communication skills
● Is organized and able to coordinate with external vendors
● (Preferred) Has completed college coursework or holds a degree
What you’ll do:
● Perform receiving inspections of components using metrology equipment such as optical
comparators, height gauges, CMMs, VMS systems (e.g., Smartscope), calipers, micrometers
● Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T
● Review paperwork, complete inspection records, and release components
● Program Smartscope for automated inspections (Level 2+)
● Write inspection procedures for components and machined tubing (Level 2+)
● Handle and inspect extremely small components with care
● Conduct in-process inspections, including line clearance, and labeling checks
● Perform inspections on components and assemblies throughout manufacturing
● Conduct final inspections, verifying labels, packaging, seals, and finished goods
● Coordinate final inspection activities with outside vendors and perform in-house peel testing
● Support engineering with inspection fixture design
● Assist with equipment and process validation through inspection of outputs
● Conduct compliance audits for cGMP adherence
● Maintain quality record compliance with internal procedures and regulations
● Coordinate cleanroom environmental monitoring and quarterly dose audits
