About the job:

The Director, Payer Relations will lead national reimbursement strategy and payer engagement
efforts to ensure optimal coverage, coding, and payment for innovative medical technologies.

We’re looking for someone who:

● Holds a Bachelor’s degree
● Has 12+ years of industry experience, including at least 10 years in medical device,
biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sectors
● Brings a minimum of 4 years of people management experience
● Has at least 2 years of demonstrated payer leadership experience
● Communicates effectively and can clearly articulate clinical value and reimbursement
strategy
● Demonstrates strong leadership, relationship management, and cross-functional
collaboration skills
● Possesses strong organizational, operational, and budget management capabilities
● Has experience with patient management programs (preferred)
● Is familiar with patient CRM systems (preferred)
● Has prior call center experience (preferred)

What you’ll do:

● Lead and develop the Payer Relations Directors (PRDs) to execute national and regional
coverage and reimbursement strategies
● Drive engagement with commercial payers, Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs),
and Medicaid to secure coverage and minimize access barriers
● Address reimbursement challenges and support patient access initiatives in partnership
with Sales, Market Access, and Patient Services
● Serve as a subject matter expert on payer policy and reimbursement strategy
● Build and maintain strategic relationships with payer stakeholders, advocacy groups,
professional societies, and healthcare systems
● Provide regular reimbursement and payer strategy updates to senior leadership
● Conduct outreach to state and local provider, patient, and healthcare advocacy
organizations
● Travel approximately 50% to support payer and stakeholder engagement
