Accounts Payable Specialist
About the job:
The Accounts Payable Specialist supports the Accounting team by managing accounts payable
operations, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring accurate financial records
while driving process improvements.
We’re looking for someone who:
● Holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
● Has 3+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience
● Has general ledger accounting and month-end close experience
● Demonstrates strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial reporting
● Is proficient with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms (preferred)
● Has advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
● Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
● Can manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines
● Communicates effectively with internal teams, vendors, and business partners
● Works independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
● Has experience supporting audits and internal controls (preferred)
● Is committed to continuous process improvement and operational efficiency
What you’ll do:
● Process and review vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
with company policies
● Maintain accurate accounts payable records and financial documentation
● Support month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and
financial reporting
● Analyze accounting data and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
● Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve invoice processing and workflow
● Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed
● Support internal controls and accounting compliance processes
● Train internal stakeholders on invoice submission and processing requirements
● Assist with policy development and recommend process improvements
● Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed
